The site is doing really well. We've had a rebrand, a refresh, and made the site more streamlined so we can take it further. This was a small project at first but now it is growing to be something more!
We're currently looking for people to get in touch to write up a feature about their particular passion for north east history. Whether that be transport, industrial, social history or LGBT history or anything else you can think of. You don't need experience, writing skills or a full CV to tell us you want to write for us. All we need is your passion for the subject in question.
We also want to stress that we don't expect anyone to project their hobby or passion for free. We want to pay people who write for our site. It's self funded, and we're certainly not in a position to hand over a lot, but we would compensate your time with a small token of our appreciation.
