Afternoon!
Just wanted to let everyone know you can RSVP to our next Social now!
It's going to be on Wednesday 27th August at 8pm down at the Tyne Bar, just like last time. Like last time too, paid Patreon members will have access to the bar tab to get a drink on me as a massive thank you for everything you're doing to support this project.
I'd be absolutely delighted to see you down there - it's all well and good chatting online, but there's nothing better than seeing new and familiar faces in person for a pint and a natter.

About the event
The North East Heritage Socials provide the opportunity for locals and lovers of our region to get together over a few pints (and a free bowl of chips courtesy of our pals at the Tyne Bar!). No rules, no expectations and no cliques - absolutely everyone is welcome to come spend a couple of hours in the company of good people who want to chat history, architecture, culture & anything in between. This is a first for us, and I'm really excited to see & meet some new faces. See it as a little night out for people who like talking about postboxes, collieries and Victorian football clubs!
Attendance is absolutely free and open to anyone, but please do RSVP on this event so I can let our hosts know. Supporters of the North East Heritage Library via Patreon will be eligible for our complimentary bar tab as a thank you from me, so if you fancy a neb and enjoy what we do then please do visit the link above.
The Tyne Bar is a Newcastle institution within the historic Ouseburn precinct - now one of Tyneside's cultural epicentres, and we're absolutely chuffed they're hosting us. If you've never been before or will be new to the city, it's right at the end of the Quayside at 1 Maling Street. I'll be there by a little earlier - feel free to drop in and out as you please.
