HER Description

NEHL - A tennis court stood behind the Wesleyan Church and Sunday School on Wesley Street, Willington. Its first appearance comes on the 1946 Ordnance Survey map, so was likely opened in the 1920s or 30s. It can also be seen on aerial imagery from 1942, with the tennis court enclosed with a small building on its north western corner.

It appears to have still been in situ as late as 2009 as per Street View imagery, but more recently has been developed with a car park.
