Silksworth Colliery AFC

HER Description

NEHL - A football ground stood close to the cricket ground in Silksworth, both being utilised by thee miners of Silksworth Colliery for their own teams. This ground was home to Silksworth Colliery AFC, a club formed around 1891 and played locally alongside their reserve II team.

The ground had limited facilities, likely using the clubhouse on the cricket ground next door.
