HER Description

NEHL - A large football pitch was bedded in around the 1930s just north of Nettlesworth village. It has been difficult to ascertain which club played here or if it was for general recreation use. There was no Nettlesfield football club at this time (though there was around 1911), however there were football teams at Kimblesworth and Plawsworth who may have played here. The area is retained as a football pitch as per recent satellite imagery.
