HER Description
NEHL - A cricket ground has existed on this site since the 1910s, when workers at Hylton Colliery established their own team. Hylton CCC are still playing at the same ground. The cricket ground, which pre-dates the adjacent football ground, can be seen on 1947 aerial photos.
