HER Description

NEHL - There was a very small, rectangular bowling green between the Tennant's Alkali Works and Prince Consort Road in Hebburn. An article from the Jarrow Express in 1887 indicates this bowling green was constructed by Tennant's Alkali Works in the same year. It appears this green was demolished in the 1900s as it seemingly disappears.
