Gosforth and Coxlodge Com. (?)

HER Description

NEHL - A football ground was situated in vacant land between Regent Road North and Jubilee Road between the 1910s and 1930s. It is highly likely this ground was home to the football team of the adjacent Coxlodge Colliery, who partook in local leagues and the Northumberland Minor Cup facing teams such as Jesmond Villa. The ground had limited facilities and was likely just a maintained pitch.

It appears the ground was demolished once Kennedy Park was constructed, which featured a pavilion, tennis courts and a bowling green.
