HER Description
NEHL - Near Coxlodge Station stood a number of tennis courts and grounds. Here stood at least 2 tennis grounds backing onto the railway. Aerial photography 1946 seems to depict 3. It is not clear whether this was a community centre or welfare hall.

Ordnance Survey, 1947

The tennis grounds can be seen just under the railway. Source: Historic England Photograph: raf_106g_uk_1193_rp_3190 flown 27/02/1946
