HER Description

NEHL - Randolph Recreation Ground was presumably opened by the operators of Randolph Colliery in the south of the village in the 1920s, for the benefit of their workers and families. On the 1943 Ordnance Survey map a cricket ground, football ground, bowling green and tennis courts are shown with a pavilion in the centre of the complex.

Evenwood Town FC likely used the site as their home ground.
