HER Description

NEHL - Coxhoe Park can be found to the north west of the village, including a bowling green, basketball court and football pitch. The site started life as a clay pit in the 19th century, but was redeveloped around the 1920s for recreational use. By the 1930s there was a bowling green and two tennis courts. A football pitch was later added.
