Backworth Cricket Club

HER Description

Ordnance Survey Maps from the late 19th century show a cricket ground in currently disused land, presumably used by Backworth Cricket Club before their move over the road to Backworth Hall or the workers of Backworth Colliery. It was out of use by the early to mid 19th century. There were no facilities.
