HER Description

NEHL - A smaller rifle range close to a 550 yard range (BA06) was constructed to the west. This iteration was only 200 yards. It most likely utilised the same facilities as the one nearby, which had a pavilion on the banks of the Wear. It disappears from Ordnance Survey maps in the 1910s, and cannot be seen on aerial imagery.
