HER Description

Newcastle's newest swimming pool. Opened with a library and gym in September 2000. This replaced three earlier baths - Shipley Street in Byker (closed in 1992), Heaton Baths (built 1925) and Walker Baths (1930s). The East End Pool features a 50m flume which protrudes outside the building. A second flume has since been added.
