HER Description

"Earthwork features of an early twentieth century golf course were seen and mapped from air photographs. The earthworks of at least four greens are visible. The existence of a golf course was noted on Ordnance Survey maps of 1916 and 1921 but not mentioned on later maps. The words "golf course" were written in an arc to the east of Churchill Street. These features have now been destroyed by modern building development." - Historic England
