Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A coal shaft was located just east of Hagg Farm at Hagg Bank. This was the site of a pit which was linked by a waggonway from West Wylam Junction, though no specific details can be found. There is also another shaft just south which still had a chimney by the 1890s. Therefore, this may have been an access or ventilation shaft.
