Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A coal shaft was located to the south west of High Pot Hill, and was disused by the 1850s. Unlike other shafts in this area, there was next to little trace in the 1940s. It is unknown whether this was a standalone pit, or worked in conjunction with the larger collieries in the area like Old Witton Park Colliery.
