Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A shaft was located to the south of High Pot Hill through the 19th century, and earthworks remained into the 1940s as per aerial imagery. The shaft was sealed and disused by the 1850s, so this was in use much earlier than many in this area. It is not known whether it was connected to Old Witton Park Colliery.
