Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A shaft was sank in Deborah Wood by at least the 1850s, and is illustrated on the maps of the same decade. It is notably not labelled as disused alongside the multiple other shafts directly north of the wood.

It's not known whether these shafts were part of a wider network - perhaps small landsale pits for the local area.
