Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - An old coal pit is illustrated on the 1890s Ordnance Survey map at Catchlaw Crag near Scremerston. Unfortunately no further information can be sought about this pit, though curiously it does not appear on the 1860 edition. This is one of a number of coal pits in and around Harecrag Moor.
