NEHL - This short lived colliery was situated on moorland close to West Auckland. It was connected via tramway to Norton Fine Gill, where coal was presumably transport via a small boat to West Auckland unless a locomotive used it to obtain water. There are a dozen or so shafts located nearby from older workings.
