Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A small shaft could be found north of Carrmyers Burn in the 1890s. It does not appear in the 1850s maps, meaning it must have opened and closed in the latter half of the 19th century. It may be related to one of the nearby pits such as South Derwent Colliery. The area is still wooded.
