Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A shaft was located just east of Hedley Colliery on the western boundary of Hedley-on-the-Hill village. The shaft was sunk after the 1860s and was still extant into the 1950s as per Ordnance Surveys from the time. A small heap is still located here, indicating the shaft may still be in situ.
