Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - North east of Delight Colliery was Lily Colliery during the latter half of the 19th century. The pit was connected via tramway to the Harelaw Waggonway and through a tunnel to Surtees Pit near Hill Top. It is not known whether the tunnel still exists.
