Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A shaft was located in the corner of this field through the 19th century. It was labelled as 'old' as early as the 1850s, meaning it may date from pre 19th century. There is a chance there are remains of this shaft, though this is purely guesswork.

A photograph of the shaft can be seen here in excellent condition - https://twitter.com/New_Close_Farm/status/1613464626259181568?s=20&t=-5ZD2G29_u22qmuCGDAprA (no permission has been sought to add to the site). Thanks to @New_Close_Farm for sharing.
