Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A coal shaft could be found west of Kimblesworth Colliery through the 19th century. It is not known whether this was a pit itself pre-1850s. This shaft is labelled as 'old' as early as the 1850s, meaning it may date before the 19th century.
