Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A collection of around 6 coal shafts can be found both sides of the footpath nr Mountsett Crematorium, which had all closed by the mid 19th century. The likelihood is they were used locally and pre-date Esther Pit, which was part of the Lintz Colliery network.
