Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A coal level was situated to the south of Wall village, on a now lost footpath leading to the various plantations east of the village. It was likely a landsale pit excavating shallow coals for the benefit of the village, though may have fell into disuse as coals from larger collieries may have been cheaper to buy.

The level was not visible by the 1890s as it is not illustrated on maps.
