Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A small coal pit worked on this site in the mid 19th century and is shown as disused by the 1890s. The pit was connected only by footpath and did not have any ground level facilities apart from a small shed-like building. The shaft will have been accessed by ladder and rope.
