Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - Pontop Pea Pit was a small working situated east of Dipton on a footpath between Stob House and West Bushblades Farm. The working pit can be seen on the 1862 Ordnance Survey map with a small pit pond but little other facilities, and was not connected by rail, though close to the Harelaw Waggonway.
