Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A drift mine was situated here until around the 1880s. There was a tramway linking this mine to the Haggerleases Branch of the NER next to the River Gaunless. The alignment was inherited by Millfield Grange Colliery after closure. The earthworks for the tramway are still visible on satellite imagery.
