Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - An old colliery is illustrated at this location on 1890s Ordnance Survey maps. It was joined via a junction to the East Coast Main Line near Feltonlane Crossing, but unfortunately no name is provided of the working. It was only open between the 1860s and 1890s and featured one air shaft and at least two coal shafts on its easternmost edge.
