Description (or HER record listing)
NEHL - A small working named Dike Pit could be found close to the Stanley Waggonway at Beamish. It was a primitive working, with no obvious facilities except a shaft in the Dikepit Plantation. The site of the shaft is still wooded, through the wider plantation is now a housing development.
