NEHL - An old shaft is illustrated near Greencroft cottages on the 1890s Ordnance Survey. It was situated next to a disused waggonway which led from the old Greencroft Pit on Gorecock Lane to South Derwent Colliery. The shaft may be connected to this disused pit.
