NEHL - A cricket ground can be found at Parklands, Castle Eden just north of the village. It dates from the first half of the 19th century, along with a neighbouring Tennis Courts. Castle Eden Cricket Club still play at the ground, though the tennis courts have been demolished for the neighbouring golf club. It can be seen on the 1940s Ordnance Survey editions.
