Dene Golf Club (1920s), Castle Eden Golf Club

HER Description

NEHL - Castle Eden Golf Course stands on the former site of a rifle range just north of Castle Eden village. It was first known as The Dene Golf Club, formed after WWI by members of the brewery J. Nimmo & Son Ltd in the village. The course was first constructed with six holes by Mr O L Rowntree but was later extended to 9 holes and even later 18.
