HER Description

NEHL - A curling pond stood at what is now the football complex on Linden Avenue through the 19th century. There was a small shed or clubhouse on its western side, with the lane between the West Road and Fenham Call on its east. There was also a cricket ground just south and a fish pond close by which has since been developed on.
