HER Description

Earthworks of the greens of a golf course mapped from wartime air photographs. On the west side of Longbenton, between Benton Lane and Coach Lane. The golf course is shown on third edition Ordnance Survey map of 1916. Destroyed by development in the 1950s.

Benton House only a few dozen metres from Four Lane Ends, was used as the clubhouse for the course.
