Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A working named Providence Pit was situated in a field north of Little Moor Farm at High Toft Hill, and was directly connected to it by a footpath leading from the south east corner of the field. It is active on the 1850s Ordnance Survey, though provides us little other clues as to its significance. It is not known whether it is an isolated working or part of a wider network, though its proximity to the shaft 100m west gives us a likely indication they are connected.

There is no longer any evidence above ground according to satellite imagery.
