NEHL - Ushaw Moor recreation ground was founded around the 1930s, likely to provide leisure and respite for workers at the nearby collieries. Upon opening, the ground features a football ground, bowling green, tennis court and recreational ground. Now, it is much more austere and is the home of Ushaw Moor CC. Ushaw Moor FC previously played at the ground.
