HER Description

NEHL - A football ground has existed on this site since at least the 1910s, if not the 1900s. It had very limited facilities and was likely used by local clubs in the area such as Fence House Tradesmen's FC and Fencehouses YMCA FC. There was a small clubhouse on the west side of the ground which since appears to be demolished. Nowadays, the site is still maintained as a general recreation ground.
