Description (or HER record listing)

A single pit and ditch, possibly the remains of coal workings and a wagonway or trackway are visible as earthworks on historical air photos. These remains are located on the north side of Dark Lane, near West Cottage at Pegswood. The ditch ran south-east from the pit towards the road. These remains have now been built over.
