Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A drift near Hedleyhill Farm appears on Ordnance Survey maps from the 1910s until at least the 1940s. On the 1921 map, a minor horizontal shaft is seen solitary near a waste heap. By the 1940s a tramway was constructed linking the mine with a coal depot slightly north. This drift was likely for local use.
