Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A coal shaft is situated west of the village of Longframlington. It was in use after the 1860s and before the 1890s, as it does not appear on the first edition of Ordnance Survey Maps and is shown as disused by the second. The coal shafts may be related to Longframlington Colliery, but impossible to ascertain for definite.

The shaft still appears visible on satellite imagery as a ring type structure.
