NEHL - A group of coal pits were situated south west of Barcombe Colliery, connected by an old footpath to a limekiln directly north. The 1860s map annotates this as a horizontal shaft into the hill, though the 1890s shows it were pits. There is still evidence of small waste heaps at the site.
